This is a collection of  electronic fieldtrips.  They have been produced by colleges, universities, government agencies, and museums.  They cover a wide range of curricular topics and grade levels.
Teacher Constructed Fieldtrips
This is a collection of teacher developed electronic fieldtrips.  They cover a wide range of curricular topics and grade levels.  They are arranged by curricular subject and are appropriate for a variety of grade levels.

Science

This website provides access to 23 different electronic fieldtrips.  The topics range from Whales, Bats, and turtles, to the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Dred Scott court case, Brown vs the Board of Education, Solar Energy, and the role of Fire in an ecosystem.  The teacher is asked to register and then can chose the appropriate e-Fieldtrip and sign his or her class up for the trip.  Most of the trips have a window when students can ask questions directly to experts on the topic of the chosen trip.

This website provides access to 19 ACPS teacher created virtual field trips.  Topics include Assateague Island, Hurricanes, The Red Planet, The Dirt on Soil, A Volcano Trip , Sea Creatures, NASA Trip, My First Car, Monarch Butterflies, Exploring the Unknown, Endangered Animals, Inside the Human Body, fossils, Energy, Lost In Space, The Sun, Moon and Stars, Blasting Through Space, Earthquakes,

Social Studies

This website provides access to 30 different electronic fieldtrips.  The topics range from volcanoes, deserts, hurricanes, aquifers, sharks, endangered species, etc in Science to Leonardo da Vinci, American Presidents, authors, Shakespeare etc. in Language Arts.  Each trip has an itenerary and study questions that focus the user on the topic.  There is no registration for any of these trips. This website provides access to 14 ACPS teacher created virtual field trips. Topics include Indian Games, Civil War Images, Slavery In Maryland, native American Homes, Pirates on the Chesapeake, The Trail of Tears, Explore Maryland's first Capital, Tour of Allegany County, The National Road, Triangle Shirtwaist Fire 1911, French and Indian War, Flags of Africa, Guide to Ancient Egypt, Day of the Dead, and The White House

Early Literature

This website provides access to over 500 different electronic firldtrips.
One of Teaching with Historic Places' primary offerings is a series of classroom-ready lesson plans. Created by National Park Service interpreters, preservation professionals, and educators, these lessons use historic sites to explore American history.
All of the lessons are available free of charge on the Web. On-line lesson plans are ready for immediate use in the classroom. They can be used directly on the computer or they can be printed out, photocopied, and distributed to students. The fieldtrips can be searched by time period, location, theme, or social studies curriular standards.
This website provides access to 2 excellent prereading interactive field trips developed by an ACPS teacher.  The titles are One Little Bunny, and five Little ducks.  The field trips include links to other excellent prereading activities.

Mathematics

This website provides access to one excellent fieldtrip developed by an ACPS teacher.  Its title is From Abacus to Computer and traces the development of machines that humans have developed to work with numbers.

Business Education

This website provides access to 80 National Geographic Field Adventures.  They are not complete fieldtrips with worksheets, however they do present detailed and engaging information on a wide variety of National Geographic topics. from JFK's Pt 109 to King Tut's tomb.  As with National Geographic itself, there are a great number of animal related adventures.
