As you probably already know, planets are part of our solar system.  Comets, asteroids and the planets' moons are part of the solar system too.  These things all orbit around a star we call the sun.  And it's all held together by gravity.  This is what we refer to as the solar system.  Let's explore the solar system together and discover what lies beyond our big, blue skies!

Instructions for your mission...

  Click the Let's Go link and you will be transported to the Star Child Learning Center.  Once you arrive here, click the Solar System link directly under the Level One title.  This is where you will begin your journey. 
Anytime you see the  icon, you will play the audio version of each page.  If you click on this icon the words on each page will be read for you.  Follow your teacher's instructions to visit the planets in a specific order or explore the planets that most interest you first.  As an astronaut, you should pay close attention to what you will learn on this trip.  Your mission at the end of your tour will be to create a map of our solar system using what you've uncovered on your trip.
