USING MAPS TO GAIN INFORMATION

OBJECTIVES:
     The student will be able to view and study seven maps about French exploration, colonization, and the French and Indian
     War, and gain information from them.

PROCEDURE:
     The student will view each of the seven maps

INSTRUCTIONS:
     1. Each student will view and study each of the seven maps detailing French exploration, colonization and the French and
         Indian War
     2. Each student will print out the worksheet that is linked to each map or get the appropriate worksheets from the teacher.
     3. Each student will use the information gained from each of the maps to complete the worksheets.
     4. Each student should be prepared to share their responses with the rest of the class.

SUGGESTIONS ON INTERPRETING MAPS:
     1. Look at the title of the map
     2. Look at the key - make sure you understand the symbols used on the map
     3. Use your knowledge from other sources to help understand the map
     4. Draw conclusions about the map based on the information you have gathered from the map

WHAT TO DO NOW:
