This activity is designed for an automobile
buying unit in a high school business math course. The purpose of this
activity is not to outline the entire process of purchasing a car from
A to Z, but to point out a few items which a high school student ( or fullgrown
adult) probably would not consider. This activity is not intended
to be a unit on automobile purchasing, but rather a supplement to it.
There is not an answer key to either
worksheet included in this activity since each student's responses will
be unique to his or her ideas of a "first car" and the accessories that
come along with car ownership (insurance, maintenance, etc.)
Please feel free to make suggestions
for improvement of this activity. This is my first attempt at making a
web-based activity. It was put together during a three day summer workshop
on Virtual Fieldtrips.
